We are currently anchored at Honeymoon Bay (also known as Druif Bay) on Water Island, just southwest of Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas. It's a great spot with a beach bar, sea turtles, and a dog-friendly beach!
We recently just celebrated our 1 year anniversary of being out cruising on our sailboat on May 15th. Thankfully, the waters we're in currently are a fair bit calmer than this time last year ;) Can you believe it's been a whole year?! We can't! It feels like we just started, like we've barely scraped the surface. If this past year is any inclination of the adventures to come, we might just earn 4 or 5 swallows as we can't imagine re-tying the dock lines. Not a sailor and curious how to earn a swallow?? Google it for some sailing history.
We are writing because we have some exciting news to share! After a year of sailing, we realized it would be great to house all of our email content and videos in one location... so we built a website!
On the site, you'll see our emails in the forms of blog posts, all the videos, a little info about us and the boat, as well as an interactive map depicting our sailing route.
Some information to help understand the website:
- You can view it on a desktop/laptop or your mobile device.
- You can subscribe (if you want to, but not needed) to receive an automated email notifying you when we add a new blog post/video.
- You can sign-up/become a member of the Wix platform (again, only if you want to, not needed) to comment on posts we share.
- You can download the associated app (if you want. Of course, not needed) if you like apps!
In times of limited internet access when updating the website isn't possible, we'll still keep in touch via email with you all as that takes less bandwidth. Anyone you share the website with, who may subscribe or become a member, will receive updates when our internet is strong enough to support website changes.
